How reliable is your web host?  Have you ever gotten an email from a customer complaining that your website was down the day before but you had no idea or no way to confirm whether or not there was a problem with your site?  Have you ever tried to access your site only to find that you can't even access it yourself?

Believe it or not when I was looking for web hosting for my business, I went through 7 or 8 hosts with the common "99.9% uptime guarantee" that ran under 95% uptime!  That's an average of over ONE HOUR of downtime per day, sometimes during peak times.

The first host I tried was absolutely horrible, so bad that I noticed the downtime myself just from having my home page set to my web site.  I started to wonder if it was down that much when I was checking, how much is it down when I'm NOT in front of my computer!?
